Sur place, il s’est adressé au vice-président de l’Assemblée nationale, Abdou Mbow, en lui signifiant que le Sénégal aura la paix tant que les députés feront correctement leur mission et travailleront dans le sens des intérêts des populations et de la bonne marche du pays. Il a par ailleurs souhaité que les députés qui ont de bons rapports en dehors de l’Assemblée, arrêtent de se crêper le chignon à chaque fois qu’ils se retrouvent à l’hémicycle.
