Une initiative qui devrait aboutir, entre autres, sur un candidat fort à la Présidentielle de 2019. Idy, qui a reçu l’ancien Dircab de Me Wade, a manifesté son intérêt pour le projet. D’ailleurs, d’après le communiqué sanctionnant la rencontre, le Président de Rewmi «a décrit la situation actuelle du pays et les perspectives pour une organisation de l’opposition».
Conscient du fait que le projet peut faire mouche en 2019, Idrissa Seck «a salué et magnifié l’idée et la démarche du président Habib Sy ». Il a aussi encouragé ce dernier «à rencontrer tous les autres leaders des partis d’opposition pour leur présenter le Ppo ». Le Président de Rewmi «a exprimé sa volonté pour la définition et la mise en œuvre d’une stratégie commune de l’opposition pour avoir toutes les chances de gagner l’élection présidentielle de 2019 ». D’après le communiqué, les deux hommes politiques et leaders de parti projettent de se rencontrer une autre fois à la fin des consultations. Une alliance qui peut faire selon nos confrères de l’Observateur.
