Suite à la signature du partenariat, ces deux entreprises ont décidé de créer la société PIRIOU NGOM. Qui va proposer ses services, dans la réparation et la construction navale, notamment dans le domaine de la pêche, des navires de services et de défenses.
Pour mieux se rapprocher de sa clientèle le groupe PIRIOU adopte la stratégie du rapprochement, ce qui explique son implantation et le partenariat avec une entreprise locale, « un soutien technique et logistique en France, mais surtout un personnel local » dit Mr Ngom qui poursuit, « Plus de 20 ans dans le secteur maritime, la société Ngom et frères, va relever le défis politique concernant le monde maritime dans le plan Sénégal émergeant à traversPiriou » explique-t-il.
Spécialiste dans la construction, la réparation et l’ingénierie navale mais aussi dans la prestation de services, le groupe Piriou créé en 1965 construit des navires jusqu’à 120 m et en a livré plus de 430 dans le monde.
Ainsi, Pascal Piriou président du dit groupe explique : « De par nos expériences réussies au Nigeria et en Algérien notre implantation au Sénégal était évidente. Les Bateaux Piriou sont présent au Sénégal depuis 1979 et nous avons toujours considère cette région comme prometteuse. » Il dit aussi que c’est avec modestie et confiance qu’il vient s’implanter à Dakar.
